Kentucky Blue Grass strives to ensure our work is done in a professional manner, utilizing quality equipment and materials to maintain your grounds to the highest standard.
All areas are maintained in a clean, crisp appearance and all maintenance includes labor, materials, equipment, supplies and services required.
Grounds Keeping services include:
Lawn Mowing & Trimming -
Mowing height is maintained at 2.5" (6.5 cm) on all turf areas. Mowing is conducted on a seven calendar day rotation during the heavy growing season. The cycle will remain constant unless interrupted by holidays or force majeure. At times other than the heavy growing season, frequency of mowing will be regulated by height in order to provide consistent growth control. Fall clean up is to be done approximately October 15th - 31st, weather permitting.
Trimming is to be conducted on all turf edges surrounding shrub beds, flower beds, in-lawn trees, fence lines and other locations as necessary to maintain crisp, clean appearance.
|
Vegetation Control and Gardening -
Tree bowls, flower beds and shrub beds are maintained weed-free. Minor tree pruning and hedge trimming is done to encourage healthy development, shape and safety.
|
|
Fertilizer/Weed Control -
Liquid fertilization and weed control can be applied at the contractor's discretion to accomplish minimal weed infestation in turf areas. Time of application is to be dictated by manufacturers recommendations and sound horticultural practice. |
Additional Debris & Litter Pick-up -
All debris and other undesirable materials found on turf, sidewalk and parking lot areas during the course of maintenance are to be removed and disposed of. |
De-thatching and Turf Sweeping -
Dethatching
will be done in all common areas with power rakes or turf sweepers to remove non-decaying organic matter. Sand and gravel from all lawn areas and sidewalks is to be power swept . Gravel on turf from roadways and parking lots will be returned to point of origin. |
Aeration -
Aeration
is to be done in all common areas with a core aerator to relieve soil compaction, allowing air to circulate to the root system and allow moisture and fertilization into the roots.
All irrigation systems must be staked at this time. Cores to be left on turf areas.
(Aeration is to be done in Fall.) |
